Dexter vs. Michael Weston

Dexter is a loveable serial killer.
Michael Weston is a loveable semi-ex CIA agent.
They are both immensely badass.
But the question remains: Who is badderass?

FAQs regarding the theoretical confrontation:

Will Michael Weston have the assistance of his crack-squad (Fiona and Sam)?
No. He will not. Fiona will be allowed to watch and witness the fight if she so chooses. Sam will be forced to spend the evening in a bar. Barry (the money launderer) was invited to join Michael but bowed out at the last minute due to cowardice.
Can Dexter drug Michael Weston?
Yes. If he can catch him.
Can Michael Weston bring a gun?
No. But a gun will be hidden somewhere on the battlegrounds. If it is discovered, either participant is allowed to use it.
Will there be voice-overs during the fight?
Yes, both Dexter and Michael Weston are allowd to narrate the proceedings with their thick voices and even thicker ironic worldplay.

  1. My heart says Dexter, but my mind says Michael (and the other body part often involved in decision making says Fiona), but I think that what this issue really boils down to is an issue of mortality.

Burn Notice airs on the USA network. Obviously nobody whose ever done a good deed in their life can die on that channel -- they like their good guys good and their bad guys evil. But let's face the facts: this fight would not occur on the USA network. It'd have to occur on a neutral location, like FX, HBO or a deserted barn in Tucson, Arizona.

Michael has the obvious combat-advantage, but I just keep coming back to the fact that I can't see Dexter dying. His voice, his pulse, his grip of reality resonates too strongly, too infinitely. Michael on the other hand can die, as long as he dies for a cause. He can die a hero's death. He can lose the battle but win the war and other such metaphors. He can die in Fiona's arms as long as his death creates a better life. So that's it, folks. That's how it happens. That's how Dexter beats Michael Weston.

  2. The hidden gun in the battlegrounds is absolutely an advantage for Michael. Even if Dexter found the gun, he would only use it if it could somehow stab, cut, or slice Michael. Even still, I can't see a USA Network character killing a Showtime Network character. It just can't happen. I mean, Showtime has more nudity, bad language, etc.

  3. Michael Weston kicks his ass. he knows all dexter's tricks and has many of his own... dexter's just sneaky. mike is too mcguyverish and can fashion a weapon out of a wet tampon, but dexter needs time to buy prep his stuff.
